Freedom

caught by the Poacher
due to Inexperience
now thrust between bare metal Bars
fed meager Scraps
Poked and Prodded and Hit
no Shelter from rain
no Escape from the weather
Feathers pulled mockingly
one at a time
Torture
and Pain
and Suffering

now along comes the Forester
he opens the cage
the Eagle Soars Dives
is now above the Poachers cheap tricks
for what is one stuck on the ground
compared to one in the Air
now the loud cry of Joy
from the Eagle
to All
now he Knows
and will not again be caught

oh that we might be so Wise
