Your guarded silence is a wall
through which I can not see.
Your fading shadow on it falls
but fails to speak to me.
Your lips with amber brilliance shine
yet not a word escapes.
Your tear-filled eyes still beckon towards
another time and place.
I can but sorrow for the pain
that I to you have brought.
And plead that my great foolishness
might somehow be forgot.

eternal Your guarded silence is a wall I sleep blindly at the bottom of a fish tank, My world is lost unto myself that i There are days The only true measure solace sentenced to a living death sometimes my love nothing lasts forever but the earth and sky windows With each new birth
